Dr. Behzad Imani, President

.Dr. Behzad Imani is a Founder and President of Transoptic.  Dr. Imani received his Ph.D. in electro-optical instruments from the University of Arizona in Tucson in 1985. His career has included engineering roles at semiconductor capital equipment companies Photon Dynamics,  KLA Instruments (now KLA-Tencor) and Nanometrics, He was Chief Scientific Officer at videophone maker Start Signal, Founder of thin film measurement tool maker Transoptics, and Founder, CEO and Chairman of XLOptics, a manufacturer of passive and active optical components for telecom markets.

From 2002, Dr. Imani served as CEO and President of Transoptics, Inc. Transoptics' projects included:
 
Transoptic's Goldenix project included a spherical glass monitoring system combined with fiber optic networks for detecting biological, bacterial, infectious, and contaminating materials at molecular levels in public places such as airports, and sports arena's. The safety of general public is at the top of Dr. Imani's priorities and his project helps detecting hazardous agents and then alarms the general public about the existence of hazardous materials in the vicinity of public.
 
Transoptic's CopperTech project included metallic film thickness measurements using Surface Plasmons' resonance.
 
Transoptic's Amberix project is a Heat Transfer management software that optimizes the HVAC systems of commercial and residential buildings.
 
Transoptic's McSensor project is a sensor for measurement of micro-corrolysis inside gas and oil pipe lines.
 
Transoptic's McKeena project is a personal Tri-Gglyceride reducing instrument for patients with high levels of Cholesterol.
